Hello Guys:
These are my first shakens. They are made in damascus steel 1095 and 2% Nickel, 1%C powder steel , 20 layers. 58Rc.

So I just caught the 1% C powder steel. Just for my own understanding...you have a type of powder metallurgy steel layered into the mix? Sounds pretty neat.

I buy a mixture that comes 98%iron and 4%nickel, and i mix it with pure iron powder and carbon to have a 0,9 - 1% C and 2%Ni steel.
All the stars are 4" 1/4 diameter, and the thickness is from 3,5 to 4 mm.
