Shallot not engaging

So my shallot's lock is not engaging. Looks like there is not enough space for the lock to engage. There is about 1 millimeter of tang that still needs to pass for the lock to move into place. The knife has been carried for maybe two weeks and used regularly but never dropped. What is the next step?
 
Hmmm.... maybe the pivot is too tight? Or maybe the stop pin popped out on one end or has build up or something on it?
 
You say you've used it for 2 weeks...is it just now giving you this problem?

Have you tried to pull the blade up to a fully opened position, and will the lock engage if you do?
 
I will have to get some pics later but their is no way to manually lock it into place. Stop bar is prevent that last little bit from clearing. And yeah it just on day decide not to lock up anymore. I have tried loosening the pivot but no luck there.
