Shaman 15V Sprint Run Available

They've been dropping at a few stores since last week, mostly very small amounts. I'd imagine the Spyderco direct ones go very fast because those with OpFocus get them at 50% of MSRP, making the price ~$195 well below any retailers street price.

There's so many bots, and webpage monitoring setups now, that for anything limited edition, sprint, etc. that people want, it's very hard to snag them. A couple larger batches dropped this week and they only lasted 4-5 minutes. It usually takes less than a minute for the forums and facebook groups to find out about a drop for these and a couple more minutes for folks to put them in carts and checkout and they are gone.

Lots of them being used for trade bait and flipping as well, tons of PM2 15v's listed on facebook, ebay, etc. for sale/trade. I'd bet at least half of them being sold are intending to trade/flip them. It used to upset me, but honestly there's only two parties to blame for flipping. 1) the manufacturer for not making enough product and 2) stores for not increasing the price to the point they stay in stock. If someone spends hours on their computer/phone trying to snag a limited edition knife, their time and effort are worth something compared to someone that just wants to buy one on a whim at the drop price. People complain about the prices people ask flipping them but if stores priced them high enough to stay in stock so you could easily buy one, they'd be at least that expensive. The only way to keep the price low and availability high is if the manufacturer makes a lot more of them.

It's really how much you value your time, if you make $50/hr at work, and it takes 5 hours of of your free time to snag a drop sprint run, would you just rather pay someone $50-$100 more flipping the knife and keep your 5 hours of free time, spend hours of your free time sitting at the computer/phone to snag one, or do without it.

It isn’t worth being that upset about. Plenty of knives out there. No need to be outraged because some get caught up in the excitement of supply and demand.
