The Shank is a slim, all business, skeletonized knife, made from a shank of hardened tough 3/16" thick 440C high chromium martensitic tool steel, hollow ground and bead blasted for a flat finish. The blade has a nice sweep, great for utility or tactical use, and full finger rings rounded for comfort. The knife is as light and strong as it can be, with an artistic arrangement of milling to balance the blade to handle weight ratio without sacrificing strength. The knife has spine filework to help increase tactile grip and add a nice artistic flourish without being garish. This knife was made with one of my combat grade locking sheaths, the best sheath made in the world, period. The sheath is hand-constructed of 41 components, is waterproof, made of kydex, 5052H32 corrosion resistant aluminum, blued steel, and stainless steel. The whole package demonstrates that beauty and function can come in a clear, unpretentious form.

The File work is looks great and the sheath very well built. That said I don't know how it would feel in the hand with the two large finger holes, looks like it would be awkward but I could be wrong. This knife seems like an it would make a good neck knife but the sheath seems like it has no provision for it.

Neck knife? This knife is 10" L.O.A., so I don't think anyone would be comfortable wearing it on their neck. As far as the finger holes, they're not for everybody, but my clients who have these love them, so I'll keep making them!

Thanks!

Didn't notice the scale my bad:o you are right that size would not be a neck knife. I might would love them also but it is a knife a would not buy until I handled it to be sure. Like I said looks great  but not sure it would work for me.

Thanks John. I started making the skeletonized knives by request from the 101st Airborne, during OIF1. It seems way back there now...

They wanted something flat profiled, lightweight, yet able to do the job.

That's cool. Everybody's different. That's why I carry over 300 patterns in my inventory right now, and new ones coming in every batch. Some of my field guys have the best ideas, and it's an honor to make for them.
