anybody familar with this knife? pros cons? alternatives?

Boker Plus Shanz

i'll be making a new ambidextrous sheath. so, i really need to use an ambi knife. it's important that it's this big because half the point is the system is for concealing a knife (thought) too large to be concealed.

btw - i'm not asking for legalities on concealing daggers, etc. i'm asking if anyone is familar with THIS knife or what would be comparable in quality, spec's, and price.

Love this dagger for its looks, F&F is pretty good too. It's massively thick though, not exactly a nimble fighting knife if that's what you're looking for. It feels like you could leverage a tank off its tracks.
Sh1tty sheath, but for that price...
Boker knows how to HT 440C, and this knife is well done. Come razor sharp. The micarta is beautiful, as is the beadblasted finish.
There's really nothing wrong with this dagger, apart from the thickness of the blade (full exposed tang too). I don't mind that, your mileage may vary. For the money (it can be had for around $90 or so) it's a steal.

awesome, appreciat the feed back :) it sounds like you've held it? i don't mind the extra heft. in fact, i kind of look forward to it.

i'm glad to hear that Boker has their HT'n dialed in, makes me more comfortable going with 440C

good knife/crappy sheath is a GREAT combo, for me, because the whole point of buying this knife is to make a unique carry system. maybe not "unique" but i haven't seen what i plan on building, anywherelse. i don't wanna go into detail, before it's finished, but i promise there will be pix posted, after it's done :D
