Shapening Your Knife

Ok, sorry if this has been covered to death but I have a pretty specific question. Im looking for a sharpener and Ill list exactly what I am looking for.

Requirments:

Ease of use( no skill to use)
Affordability
Portable
Effective

Any suggestions would be great. I dont know if this relevant but it will be used mainly on folder, more specifically my Spyderco Endura Wave. Thanks.
 
I think the Spyderco SharpMaker is just what you are looking for. Easy to use and very efficient. Very compact and portable.

You need skill to use any sharpening system. The Sharpmaker is great, but you still need to know how to use it. Invest in yourself, first, then invest in a sharpening system.
 
Definitely! The Sharpmaker applies to all of the things you are looking for. Get one and find out how easy it is and the joy's of using one!:thumbup::thumbup:

The absolute easiest is the EdgeMaker Pro.
It's a pull-thru type system which I would never use on my knives but some people swear by them.

The Sharpmaker is an excellent sharpener which requires a bit of coordination and skill/control.

+1. Both are good systems. The Spyderco may put just a tad sharper edge on while the Sharpmaker is as easy as falling out of a boat.

I had the same requirements and bought the Sharpmaker. Being a person who does 99% of my repairs with duct tape, I had no problem after viewing the video and reading the pamphlet. All of my knives are now shaving sharp. My only problem now is finding more knives to sharpen as I enjoy using it so much.
