received my 4k shapton stone today for my edge pro, and was so thrilled to give it a shot. Hit the paramilitary 2 with the edge pro 1000 stone and then went to the 4k shapton. Seemed to give it a blazing razor sharp edge but the edge was not polishing too well, still had some very slight haze look to it in a few spots on the bevel. Went back to the 3k grit edge pro polishing tape and most of it was gone. Am I not using enough water? need to keep at it with the 4k until the edge is highly polished? Was using just the weight of the arm for pressure and applying a bit of water pretty often, was expecting the bevel to come out to a high polished edge but was surprised at the outcome. Any tricks to using the shapton stones?

Sounds like you are on the right track. The EP stones and the shapton stones use a different grit rating system. IIRC the EP stuff is quite a bit finer than the shapton stuff rating wise.
You would have to look up at the Grand Unified Grit Rating thread up above to see how much finer the tapes are. Im on my phone atm...
