Yes, it is thick on the ends for sure...One thing I wish Johnny T did was to contour the mounting side so it isn't so blocky. OG's new clips are contoured so it shouldn't look so over built.

PS...My bad! I thought you meant the whole knife in general was stout...LOL!

I never really get into the scale swapping unless I purchase one that's already had it done.

I'm just curious to try out the small version for those times my larger Demkos are overkill...plus I didn't have a tanto patterned Demko, so it tripped my trigger.

I'm mixed...sometimes I like to keep a knife factory...other times I feel that a scale swap is in order! I put a beautiful set of Cast Iron Gray anodized aluminum scales on my Tanto but I have several other 20.5's that I won't swap.

im a factory fella. I leave stuff as is. knives, guns, dont matter.

I enjoy taking knives apart and working on them...that is actually part of the fun for me with this hobby!
