Where did you get yours?
Im actually looking for one. Finding one with proper edge geometry is not looking good, unless I spend $1k.
Might go with the 'swordbuy' model for $2-300 and painstakingly reprofile it myself, then polish.

For 2-3 hundred, one sometimes sees bare, old blades on ebay

Mine came from Collectors Firearms in TX some years ago and when I called, the rep called it 'that machete thing'. Crucible steel but not wootz. A definite hollow grind though.

The broad fullered sabres are a hollow in the fuller grinds.
