Or perhaps, something akin to the "Smokey and the Bandit" infamous beer run, except this will be the Dave Meier "Buck Run"! Hammer down and pedal to the metal.

Bro, what is the math at 3.37 per gallon??? figured at 25 mpg 100 gallons takes you 2,500 and its farther than that I think for you.....The motels cost 50.00 3 days...your at a 1,000.00 verses 400.00 for a plane so you need 1.75 Buck nuts to go with you !

Well Dave, I might have flown out to WV to drive with ya. Then I read the "drink only soft drinks" and sharing a motel room (recall you were in the Navy ;) Besides, I snore like a bear...fat guys do that).

So, maybe it's back to Hawai'i for me.

BTW, I'm really not planning on going...but noticed in the Newsletter it said to look for the RSVP stuff in that issue. I didn't see it. Anyone else?

Am curious as to who is going though.
Someone put up a poll.

It's too late, Dave,

I already booked the flight to Spokane. Next time I use the non stop flight from Berlin to Washington and would be pleased if you take me with you straight across the complete USA by car. Do you like to replace your van with a nice convertible?

Best,
Haebbie ;-))

aww shucks!
heck i would bring some jars along jest fer you both!!
see the usa with 334 dave!
wife snores also so am used to ear plugs...
i dont know if Haebbie shores or not..
in the navy i shared my bunk with a Mark 38 topedo that was cool cold steel..
so you would be toooooo hot for me!!! :o
pig boats forever!
last i checked there were over 150 buck-a-roos attending..
the rsvp was a page in the news letter,, you could coppy it or cut it out..

i dont think i will drive after all as no response to this post of maybe even..
i have tell the end of next week to make plane reservations..
i did the math and with shiping my knives and displays and if i bought the insurence for a rental car i would do better driveing...
then i thought of well if i have one break down or speeding ticket out of luck OR one break in out of luck.. :grumpy:
me i need all the luck i can get none to spare!:)

so the option is share ride or fly
working now on revamping the display cases to make the va show..

Thanks Dave...
The verbiage in the recent newsletter alluded that the RSVP was in that issue. Looked in the previous and found it there. I think they just copied the agenda in the current issue with the previous as that is where it says that. I just wrote a confusing sentence. Who's on first?

Checked the Caribou Hotel website or whatever it's called. No more rooms :(

i was kinda sorta disapointed there was nothing on saterday or sunday!!
i checked the other day and there was room at the inn..
i need to recheck !!!
they told me they had a miltary rate that was 10 bucks less then normal
jest show military id card of active/ retired/ reserve...
NEWS FLASH !!
rats
GOOSE WAS RIGHT!!
kinda sorta in a goose fashon...
I JEST CHECKED AND GUESS WHAT
here are no preamum or deluxx rooms with 2 beds
at the buck discont rate!!!
none left at the reag rate ...
no sweeats left either!!
but dont fear Haebbie!!!
we dont have to hot rack!!:thumbdn:
i did get one of the 12 basic
rooms left at the miltary rate of 87$
that have two beds...
we jest have to do without the
MPH Pillowtop Sleep System
Lounge chair
Modern light fixtures
New doors
Cherry wood furniture
Desks with “smart plugs”
Courtyard view
Extended height shower fixtures
New doors
Duvet covers
Granite counter tops
Marble floors
New carpet, vinyl & drapes
CD Alarm clock radio
Microwave
Refrigerator
Multi-line speakerphones
there is free internet wy-fi
and a tower computer avabile...

Dave, well done!

I don't need any lounge chair, granite counters, maple floors, Microwave, fridge, or any multi line. And I don't give a tinker's damn for new doors, ground floors or ceilings. And I sleep by myself and I don't need any sleeping system. My opinion: You got what we need. Or not? Hope that there is space enough to store all the knifes you and I buy at the meeting.

Looking forward,

Haebbie

what knives? i will be so broke i wont be able to buy any!!
now if goose showes up on his scoot i wood scrape up some bucks for gas for a ride!!
hay goose if i leave off either the shriner fezz or the simitar could i get a ride then?
maby Haebbie could bring some leader hosen would that help?
of course i could still ware my kilt...
jest let me know what is "correct" to ware or do for a scoot ride!!! :p

yep it will be what we need two beds , running hot and cold water, shower, comode and electric lights... lockable door...most likely a old fashon key lock..
and i understand it is on the ground floor ...
it is not as close to the meeting room as most the others are...
also the motel is NOT in post falls!! it is in washington state...
they said they did not think there were any motels in post falls as it was such a small town... and it is 15 min drive there...
they said that they dont normaly have over 90% of the motel filled...
but that 3 days is packed!!!
and when all the newly remodeled rooms sold out the price went up on the remander..
like the less rooms there are the more any one pays for what is left
however the milltary rate is fixed in their system so that dont go up...
as of now even the old rooms are over 100$ they are still holding bucks rate for the older rooms but the non buck rate is for older rooms is now some thing like 115$ and if a preamerum room comes up on a cancle it will be 130$
i have put in for up grade and if one does come up i can still get it for the milltary rate..
sea scout card good for some thing! :D

Is that 150 Buck Herd Nerds or 150 including their in/significant others?

In other words, 150 members? Ir 150 people to mean BCCI members AND spouses?

wow you ask the hardest questions!!!
truth is ~ i dont know which parameter (?) was correct for that answer!!!
i only asked "how many were comeing"...

oh please goose please tell me that you are comeing!!:D
if you come up there i will try realy realy hard to not bug you for a ride on the scoot!! and i will bring a spechel jar jest for U !

what i can tell you is that the main motel is booked at over 85% to 90% for thoes three days!
that there were about 40 or so rooms left and only 11 rooms with two beds...
also that a sleep inn that is but a mile or so from the plant has offered that they have rooms ... but not what the rate...

i dont think i am going to call to the voice high on the
Buck Mountain
again...
feel like i went over did my time limit yesterday...
one person in the room told the other person i was talking to- to tell me they had to come back to work helping them and say good by to dave...
their phone picks up back ground chater real good!
so i quit asking questions...
strange they asked me if my credit card number had changed for some reason..
oh well odder things happen to me all the time!

Was just wondering about the count.

LOL about going over your time limit.
Guess I'm in the same boat. I have sent about a half dozen e-mails about the Intrepid order. There has been some personal stuff that one employee I am working with has been going through. Have received replies but not the specific answer. Also getting a pig sticker.
That being said, I know things are hectic when someone is out of the office and same for that person when they return...so I understand. I always get good service from Buck. Always.
But ya can't blame me too much...I'm like a kid that's gotta pee on a road trip..."ARE WE THERE YET???" mentality. :)

But I don't wanna be the Squeaky Wheel of Buck Customers...so I give up. They might end up having a GOOSE PINATA for the employees to smack around at the BCCI gig.

Thanks Decaf...

Dave,
You may want to consider altering your travel route. Post Falls is right on Interstate 90. If you took Interstate 80 you'd end up in San Francisco, which is a far cry from Post Falls, both literally and figuratively.
Mike

(I'll be driving but from the other direction)

have had no takers on the share ride...
the hy numbers i posted are close to here were i was hopeing to pick up a hitch hiker
am goin got pay for plain tickets tursday after payment on cc is made!
hay did you see the PD knife the other day?
bucksway could not fig why i did not get excited on that one...
i said look which way the blade points to show image...
all my displays are set up for pointing left when open...

I thought that this was the mentality of all knife collectors/users?

Maybe there really is something wrong with me ;)

Dave,
the Sleep In is probably a 30 second drive from parking lot to parking lot and it looks like a nice place as well. I would recommend to anyone coming to Buck for any reason, try and make it to the Idaho side of the border, Spokane is, well not as nice plus they charge 8% sales tax instead of 6%. There is another town to the east of Post Falls (pop. 24,000) as well, Coeur d' alene is (pop. 35,000) full of hotels and motels and what have you, and is also one of the top city's in the country to live in. Just want you all to have a nice stay when you visit.

i would rather have stayed close to the plant!!!
and 'sleep in' is rated well as a chain! and likely has better rates also
walking distance = wow

as i under stand :
this is the one were Buck puts up folks comeing for bussness...

and the posting in the news letter said to use that one as
that is were there are the meeting rooms were we will have the simanars..
and were they are going to set up our displays in the lobby...
and as i under stand that is ware the dinner is being held at..

IF THIS IS NOT ALL TRUE WOULD SOME ONE LET ME KNOW ASAP!!!

no i dont have my news letter from then ...
missplaced a whole box of buck stuff between here and florida...
oh yes good to hear from you here!!
i will LOOK you up to see you there!
me and haebbie may come in tuesday at lunch time...;)
he may ware leaderhosen and i may have a kilt on so you may have a hard time spoting us in the crowd...
should he put a father in his hat so you can spot us easly? :D
