I would like to hear from all you RC-5 lovers, if you have a story to share. How did your "5" perform in a pinch? Anyone used the bow drill divot? Share your experiences, suggestions, techniques, etc. Let's have it!

Well, I got mine in the late spring. I have taken it camping and hiking several times, and it rides in my GHB every day. I've used it to limb firewood, to baton fire wood, to cut fuzz sticks and in food prep. The Eagle sheath carries a firesteel, an LED clip light, a space blanket and either an Izula or Becker Necker securely and with ease. In the field, this serves as a last line survival kit.

The first time my friends saw it they scoffed at my "Rambo" knife, but it quickly proved itself in the field, and has numerous times since.

Took mine with me on a short hike today, still getting used to it and hadn't really had the chance to carry it yet. So strapped it to my belt and off I went. I gotta say the eagle sheath was very comfortable and quiet. I did a little tip pry test on a fallen log and it excelled. I don't know that I would ever need to bore a hole through wood like that, but by doing that test, it is helping me get to know my knifes capabilities, and it was just plain fun. :)

I battoned through a 16 penny nail in a 2x10 chunk of 30 year old lumber without any permanent damage to the blade. woo! took me damn near 5 minutes of wailing on it with a beat stick, too...

I frightened some campers on Jekyll Island with mine.

Just to be really boring, cleaned and cut up a chamois I shot this morning and it worked just fine...If a RC5 is too big for slicing I have some nice steaks that would disagree! happy holidays to all.
