Recently (finally) found a nice Kapara - thanks JuPaul JuPaul ! I had a first release Kapara, but it was too long for me and traded it off. It's one that I kept thinking about...

So I jumped at the chance to get another Kapara, already with my preferred micarta scales. And 20cv for my inner steel snob ;) I have chopped a few knives, but this was the first time tapping for a new clip. This ended up being the hardest part (planning) - the tapping itself was not difficult. But due to the large holes in the skeletonized liners, there was not much space remaining.

I changed the blade shape a bit - kinda like a Caribbean sheepsfoot or even a Drunken. I am still considering making it a bit pointier. If I had the skill, I would make a nice swedge like the Centofante.

That looks fantastic. I have thought about chopping a military.

I am definitely no expert, but given the lack of full length liners, this should be a bit easier. Gives you a bit of freedom in reshaping the scales to your liking.

And I like the clip where it is already so it would also be easier.

Well you made me do it - kapara incoming!
(As it happens I chopped a military too)

Why not get a factory chopped one? 😜

Not a big fan of the comp lock. Ironically I tried a military for the first time because I didnt like the comp lock on the PM2 and thought, ill buy a millie and make a liner lock PM2. Then realized the millie was fantastic as is and now its my always carry.

I still may chop one it just to try it.
