Haven't gotten a new sebenza in a long while, so I wanted to share the special one I received today.

A 1998 unique graphic small regular with a MOP inlay and a bg-42 blade! Extra special because if I am not mistaken, the UGGs done before ~1999 were done by Chris Reeve himself. Also love the unstamped handles (no date codes!), old style clip, and old style leather slip case (much smaller and a tighter fit than the newer ones). Nothing quite like a blast from the past!

Very cool! That is a keeper for sure. However, should you decide to sell you'd find lots of buyers fast.
 
Gorgeous reg. you've got there! Were you after this for a while or did you happen upon it and jump on the opportunity? Either way, congrats.

Yea, I plan on putting it on my EDC rotation (I'm a light user though). The bg42 regulars are rare these days, especially one with a graphic done by Chris! :)

Thanks! I happened upon it, just my luck I supposed. I sold all my regulars a while back as I actually collect (and much prefer) the classic mm sebenza.
 
Chris's unquestionable taste, design genius, sense of symmetry, and sense of proportion shines through in that graphic. I don't doubt it was by the man himself, or someone under his close watch.
 
Stunning. I like the older ones. I missed on a Chris UG years ago and still kick myself in the butt. I see it popping up now and then in pics as the owner is a CRK nut , just like me.....lol. Oh well, I have some special ones too, cant have em all.
