I remember reading Mr. Glesser saying something about trying to get custom makers involved with the Compression Lock.

Have any tried it yet?

To me, it's the strongest, most reliable lock on the market and it's ambidextrous. I'd love to see some of the makers of overbuilt blades license its use from Spyderco so that their folders would be completely overbuilt (blade, pivot, and lock).

Here are three sweet custom compression lock knives:

Two Custom Guntings from Stefan Steigerwald, Germany. One with a 3,8 inch ATS blade, Ti liners & scale finish. The second with a Damascus blade

The third, by Owen Wood uses: Odin Damascus by Michael Walker, Custom 2 inch Odin Damascus Blade and Bolsters cut and ground by Owen Wood, 3-D sculpted Mammoth ivory scales, Spoon clip with custom bluing, “Proud” liners & File Work on upper and lower ramps. It also features hand made screws to hold it all together.

Those are nice, but I want some one to make a custom version of a Paramilitary or Lil' Temp. That would really ge me excited!

Frank Centofante has a knife with compression lock (first generation(s) Vesuvius). Well could be more of them , but this is the only one I know of.
OTOH, I remember I've seen some Bob Dozier knives that had a lock which looked like a compression one. The knives had no opening hole, but thumbstuds.
