Hey Guys,

Sorry for the delay in getting this operational again but here are some images of your favorite toys taken by my friend photographer George Gomes. I hope that you like them...the original site is down for updating so here goes..

Please enjoy.

p.s. Big hello to Coastie Michael West who is in Jersey going thru his Basic. Good luck buddy and I've got your knife coming in!:D

Nice Collection! One question, though. How did that OX Forge Black Knife sneak in there? Shouldn't that be relegated to collecting dust and earning value?

Mr. Joe,
Cool stuff buddy, but what happened to the rest of that bolt gun barrel? You know ... "long gun", key word; LONG!
And now for all of you dress wearing Nancy boys who are at this moment thinking you are going to write in and tell me how your short barrel guns shoot just as good as the long ones blah blah blah, just save me the time and let me say it now ... shut up. The only good thing about those mutant rifles is that they fit through windows easier when your getting your picture taken on a dynamic rope entry for the next issue of SWAT magazine with the bolt gun slung, carbine in hand and ready to participate in a "crisis resolution". Well spare me, if they shoot just as good, then when we are all at Camp Perry this year at the 1000 yard line I will be the guy standing there to point out that all the guys with the really accurate short barreled guns must be sick that day!
All my love,
Duane Dwyer

Well Duane, I must totally agree, I have an M-4 select fire with 11 1/2" barrel for firefights in phone booths, room broom if you will. But for serious work, I drag out the 20" heavy barrel cause it shoots better! I still got to get me a good bolt gun though.

Hey Joe, nice pics. You got some nice toys.

I have officially decided that the pics I found I can't email cause I don't know anybody in them. Sorry, I will take some next time I go to a good gathering, but no dice on finding any old ones. My buddy's pics are of weird people anyway. Sorry to promise you some.

Duane and Rob,
How about the 26" Harris barrel in .300 Winchester Short Magnum? Anybody heard good bad or otherwise? I know, wrong forum.

Joe don't let them worry you about the length of your barrel, just get another one :D

Take it easy,
Reed

Knifebomber...Yo Ryan - I dunno, got this in the late 80's - maker(s)from Florida or so I've been told. Came in a nice little black bag and guess what?? Really sterile...one of the few things from that time that I've hung onto.

Mr. Duane...Don't worry...I still have the SR9 in Full PSG1 kit for that future rodent problem South of the Border. BTW, if you're picky there's a Trijicon and an Elcan for that M-4 so you have enough light for problem solving!! Hope things are going well for you buddy!

Mr. Reed...we have spare barrels, mags, bolts, etc. Must be a holdover from the "two is one, one is none" school. Good to hear from you - take care buddy.:)

Mr. Mick...hey sir..on the HT...man that Krylon worked just like you said it would???!!!!:D :D

Hey guy,

I don't know...I've been doing the Noah's Ark thing - 2 of everything important! that I can get my hands on. So far, no M-4's available but I have been promised a list of products within a week that someone else wants me to move for them. Your kind of items...
Stay tuned..

Nice pictures, however you need to join the varsity team and add some SOE gear in there. The holster is a good start, but you need to add some more. You should also replace the "calendar model" stuff with some USMC "warrior" items. :)

Nice pics!

Mr. J,

Sir, as to the "warrior items" make me a list and tell me what's available and where and I'll work on it. Even though I am an Eagle Industries dealer, I DID talk to John W at SOE while visiting with Duane and Mick - several times. Unfortunately he sometime suffers the dilemna of wearing all those hats and not being able to return phone calls or email. I understand. I also understand that you probably have easier acess to him, so...if you want to help out and generate a list of goodies that I really need to pay attention to then by all means do so. I would really be interested in your input...no b.s.

Thanks for the comments and in advance for any help you can offer.:)

Joe,
That knife is indeed one of the "rare" OX Forge produced "Black Knives." As far as I can tell from the photo. It is very valuable. It spawned a whole bunch of auto clones. The Microtech UDT series is an almost exact copy. Charles Ochs collaborated with some other folks to design and manufacture a small quantity of these sterile knives for the special ops world. In fact, OX Forge is remaking that knife now as it has seen more publicity in recent days. At the Blade show, he had a small display telling the story of the "Black Knife." Pretty cool if it is indeed an original. There are some knock-offs out there, but I don't know enough about it to tell you how to see the difference. Try www.oxforge.com to see what they have and you can also contact them directly to find out for sure.

Ryan,
It is Original and while I have known a little about its inception I didn't know the whole story. The link you provided was very insightful and bears out the info that was released to me years ago. It's monetary value is a bit greater now, but the sentimental value is higher...I actually bought 2 of the Paragon knock-offs so I could have something to carry w/out putting the original in jeopardy! I HATE losing stuff - don't have to tell you much about that I guess.
Thanks again for the info.

Hey Joe,

I mean DAD!!!!!

I want my inheritance NOW! :D

Don't fight it, Step-up and give your son his birth right!

Yo Adam,

If you're ever serious about that let me know...I'm sure he can either make it out there or you can start to fill up the CONEX box and send your stuff south!!!:D

As always, let me know if I can help.

DAD Huh???

There WAS that one night back in the 60's that I'm not so sure about but...NAH!!!!!!!

Joe - GREAT pics! Love it!!! OXForge, huh? Sweet little auto. Like the Challenge Coin, too. Team One? :D I need to get one of those AR folders... ::sigh:: one day.

Duane: we love you too. And remember, it's not the SIZE of the barrel, it's how you USE it. :D

I agree with you 100% Duane, I'll take my 26" Model 700/PSS .308 over a short barreled bolt gun any day. But, there's a lot of people out there that insist that the short barrels perform just as well as the long ones if not better. Take for example Mr. Rescigno (great guy and quite knowledge from the conversation I had with him & I'm knocking him or his rifles in any way or form): He believes that the accuracy is unaffected by shortening the barrels of his rifles as mentioned in this page from his site: http://www.tacticaloperations.com/SWATbarrel/
*Note: This is just his recommendation and will build a bolt gun to whatever the customer desires, as should be.

I've been shooting for many years but am quite new in the precision bolt guns and have always believed that the longer the barrel, the better the accuracy. After reading articles of this nature, I'm unsure now of what's best for good old fashioned reach out and f*ck somebody accuracy. How about some input Duane? I know that you are more than qualified to answer this question. Maybe a little input from an experienced shooter might straighten me out.

EDITED (your right knifebomber, don't need to go there)

Sorry for the long post, a few too many guinness tonight.
