Two BM 806D2 AFCK’s!

Just got them UPS and they blistered my finger in the first 10 minutes. I know, I know, I shouldn’t be Flippin’ the heck out of ‘em, but I just couldn’t help myself.

Let me start by saying how big these things are. They have a solid feel and the grip is so secure and solid feeling. That finger choil is the center of gravity as they just balace on my finger by the choil perfectly.

These are the nicest Blades I have ever owned, that’s for sure. I am kind of worried about the local LEO’s for use of EDC. I live in a small town in OHIO.

The finger oval is so close to the handle that my thumb gets stuck on the upper portion of the G-10 scales upon deployment. I am not worried as I plan on rarely using that method of opening them. ;)

I need to switch the clip for left hand carry on one, any one know the TORX size of the clip bolts?

These were not as sharp as other BM’s new, but I am quite happy with ‘em anyhow. The factory grind on one of them is very uneven. I don’t know if you can see in the pics, because my camera is one of lesser quality than a Digital SLR. What should I do about that? Is this a warranty issue? You can barely see it here.

Edit - Proper clip positioning pics -

SILHOUETTE of a Cow Skull and the blades are the horns:

Nice pictures, thanks for posting them. Congrats on scoring the pair of them!

The 806 is my favorite Benchmade so far, they fit my hands so well. I hope you will find them as rewarding as I have.

Uneven grinds happen (in edge grind) but are usually overcome with some extra sharpening work. If you are seeing less than symmetrical grinding above the primary edge grind I would send it back to Benchmade.

Keeping axis screw adjusted is really important, you probably know that blue loc-tite does wonders to keep it there.

great choice. i have edc'd the 806 everyday for 3 years now. i put a few zip ties on the hole to imitate the emerson wave. works great. enjoy your new knives.

This might sound stupid, but can you or somebody post a picture of this method (zip-ties) I am not familiar with it at all or how it works.
(I am not familiar with the Emerson wave feature either)

Check out this thread.

Excellent pictures and a movie to boot!

First two pics we see a right hand (left) and a left hand (right) clipped 806D2 and next pics two right hand 806D2.

Why do you ask for Torx size?? :D

It looks, you mean the edge is uneven. That will move over time.

Have fun. Try tip down over time. Those knifes were made for tip down even though tip up looks better.

I edited some of the pics after I got the T6 torx tool. They are meant to be for each hand.

With the tip down, it sits really low in the pocket, which is nice, but the clip covers the AXIS button, I don't know if I could get used to that.
