Sharing some "new" knives

Well maybe not new technically but new for me. My Dad dropped off a big bag of knives and pocket watches the other day. This happens from time to time as he cleans out old chests. Most watches don't run and most knives are abused. My Grandpa and my Dad's uncles were rough on their knives. Since nobody else I know cares a lick about these I'd thought I'd share a couple of pics with people who could appreciate them.

First is a like new Schrade Old Timer. Great knife and extremely sharp. I don't think it has ever cut anything.

Next is a Western Slipjoint. This one has got some use on it but still alot of life left in it. It's a smaller knife than the pic makes it seem.

This one is a Case and from the stamp appears to be 1984 (SS with four dots). This one appears unused as well but carried alot as the bolsters are quite scratched up.

This one is my favorite "new" Case. Wood handled and the small blade seems to have had a run in with a bench grinder at some point. It's going to take some work to get it back in shape. Not sure how to date the stamp on this one though, maybe somebody could help.

Well sorry for the long post. Looks like it's time to get out some Brasso, Flitz, and a Benchstone and spend some time on these. Thanks for looking. Hope you liked the pics.

Yeah pretty nice pictures, too. Thanks for showing them, and I can relate to the fact of wanting to show them here, and, how your uncle's & father tended to be hard on thier knives. That sounds just like some statements I've made
