Anyone up for a little shark fishing?
on this:
Heading out of the everglades at 0600 (it was dark don't let the camera fool you):
It was a little cold believe it or not:
Almost there:
Cutting up bait (but its not a Busse):
He was trying to bite my brother (bad shark):
Payback is a:
Dun dun:
Look a bird:
So I know you may be wondering how this relates to "Shark Fishing with a Busse". Well, sorry for the lack of photos (hard to chop and take pics at the same time). The bait being cut above was not the easiest thing in the world to cut with the bait knife. When I had to pull out a frozen fish about four times the size it just would not cut through it. Out came the CG ASH1. Let me say the fish never had a chance.
My brother and I had our ASH's out on the water and put to use the entire week. Rust? Just a little by the butt of the knife. Surprisingly no more then my Boker Orca had after a few dives. It rubbed right off with some polish. I was very impressed. Especially since we had no fresh water to clean it with until hours after use.
BTW, we caught 7 sharks all over 6 feet in length that day. A nurse shark, three lemon sharks and three bull sharks. It is bull shark research. Next it is off to Australia for the tiger sharks out of Shark Bay. You can bet my Busse will be with me.
