Just hit myself with the nerf bat today... I'll have to engender some degree of self control for a while.

I went into the gun store for some 7.5x55 ammunition and walked out with that and a new Arsenal SA M-7 Carbine. I don't even need to take my own picture...

I looked at it and held it for a bit, then made the mistake of pulling the trigger. It's unbelievably smooth and crisp. I managed to put it down and got halfway to my car before coming back for it.

Wow. What did you pay for it? I like it. I've got an AK action I have to find some furniture for.

Very sweet. I'd have had trouble resisting too. Two Chinese AK types have slipped though my fingers over the years. Wish I had them back...especially the Poly Tech Legend rifle. You'll find yours reliable, rugged and simple to operate.

Oh, I recently bought a new 1911 type for my birthday which is in 10 days. Para-Ordnance LTC. I am looking forward to a range test after my wife gives it to me. :D

Letting a Poly Legend slip through would be a heartbreak. Especially if it was pre ban time and dirt cheap. Ouch.

These things aren't just rifles; that's the shape of History we're looking at.
I like them because they go bang every time.
SKS is more accurate, usually.

Cost 729... a shade under MSRP. I could get a better price on the web, but then after shipping and transfer fee, I'm pretty close to where I started. And, I got to inspect it first, which is a comforting feature. Not to mention that it's always nice to patronize a local small business. Particularly one that stocks 7,5x55 unlike all of the big chains around here...

Me likey. Should have known better than to pick it up. Too tempting. Its like every time my wife picks up a baby, she wants to have another one:eek:

My hobby is cheaper. :D

The Arsenals are sweet. Milled reciever makes it more accurate than stamped. Should make it a little heaver... I know the VEPR (heavy stamped reciever, RPK-style) is heavier... Does it only take the Bulgraian waffle mags? or any?

Kokalis says they're worth the money.... I like the folding stock one, MP-40 style.

Congrats.

It's taken my 75-round norinco drums and Romanian mags without a problem, so I think it'll take pretty much anything.

I like the folding stocks, but they get in the way of the drums. I have one of the Romanian folding stocks which is just a big hunk of bent steel bar, but it's really well desgned and I think you could batter down a door with it when it is locked into place.

Well, I meant the underfolder... don't like side-folders much.

And yeah, I did forget about drums. The underfolder should clear mags.

You may/may not have trouble finding 7.62x39- there has been a shortage.

A guy had an Aresenal AK at the range last time. Nice. He paid around $500 for it used, but with a bunch of ammo & clips- a good deal.

He also had a Swiss K31, something I really want. Knew his guns.

Very nice looking rifle! Looks like a bargain for a shade over $700. You'll be well prepared when the zombies come around.
