Shark skin (successful) and guitar fish (unsuccessful) sheath

Hi everyone :)

It has been a while since I did my last exotic so I decided to make a sheath for a Busse Active Duty. I've made one from shark skin that Omega from this forum kindly traded with me.

I'm having trouble giving the edge a glossy finish but does anybody have any tips about this? Dave thanks for the tip on belt sanders the edge looks a lot more flat now :)

This one is a guitar fish leather. I was trying to reuse the pre-existing design pattern but I should have made it from scratch. The window for the inlay was too narrow to accomodate the thickness of the guitar fish.

The pic below is the stingray project I've done before as you can see the window has a wider frame that curves over the skin allowing it to look natural.
