What'll y'all allow on this one?

Not sure about the tip. It doesn't look like it would be easy to sharpen. I have no experience with a tip like that though, so I could be wrong.

And yes, it would look good as a wharncliffe.

Without the “Tanto-Tip” and the saw-tooths, I would like the design - not a appropiate comment, I know.

Thanks for the feedback, guys.
  • I do make this model in a wharncliffe
  • Just wanted something a little different ~ was playing around ~ it does make a terrific camp knife, however...
  • It's no harder to sharpen than anything else ~ Most definitely easier to sharpen than serrations
  • Those are not saw teeth on top of the blade ~ it's filework in a rope pattern ~ just not a good angle to see it. Funny thing is that I don't care much for tanto points much, myself... go figure.
The following is a little more traditional

I like the first one too. Experimentation is great! There's lots of traditional stuff out there already. Unusual blade profiles are what catch my eye.

do you make a folder?

I'm gonna have to answer... not really. I've made about 5. About... because I have one that is not finished yet. They are decent, but I am not ready to compete with the custom market yet. I need some more practice.

Gotta wrap some other stuff up with my straight razors first. Then, I might get into some folder stuff.

Man, I really love that, I'm a sawback fan, so it looks great to me. Is that a one of a kind, or a standard model for you?

It's a variation of a model that is actually pretty popular for me. Each of my knives has a little something that makes it unique from any of the others I have previously completed.

The model that has been most popular for me is this one. I have made about 20 of them. All have different scales or filework patterns. Scales are oosik.

The design of the knife shown at last is very appealing. Like an italian sports car, not absolutely expedient, but it looks very good. I like it!
