Sharp edges on the clip...

I' ve carried my impulse for a bit now and noticed that the corners of the uppermost part of the pocket clip are sharp! Same too for the underside of the tip. It hasn' t been an issue with use so far but I am curious to know if it will start fraying any clothing that covers it. Is there, if any, recommended way to remove the clip and deburr it? Can' t really put a stone to it where it sits now. Thanks.

The sharp corner on the clip was recently brought to Darrel and my attention. We both regret this point was overlooked. We have addressed this issue and will be rounding this corner on the next production.

It is possible to remove the clip yourself and round the clip tip however if you plan to do this yourself be very carful so the blade and washers do not move out of allignment when remoing the pivot bolt. If the blade and washers move, it could be difficult to re-insert the pivot. If this occurs it may be necessary to disassemble the knife completely to reassemble. To do so you would have to remove the Kraton insert and glue it back in which would void your warranty. If the sharp clip tip is an important issue we would be willing to do this work for you.

Send the knife by UPS or insured mail to:

Thanks for the info Dave. Perhaps there is a way to drive a slave pin in to hold the washers/ blade hole intact while removing the pivot screw. Er, what was that last sentence about?

! Last sentence was undeleted mumbo jumbo. All cleaned up now.

The Slave pin idea sounds good. If any problems arise let me know
