Sharp edges on your knife (besides the blade)

Not long ago I purchased a MARS from Allen Elishewitz, beautiful work of art and a great knife. My only minor complaint was the sharp corners on the back of the bolsters and scales. I thought this would be more comfortable with more radiused edges, so I'm having Frank Recupero "de-horn" the corners for me.
I've also noticed some picture of the Microtech LCC that Chief posted on another thread and they seem to have the similar, sharp, 90 degree edges around the bolsters and scales.

Is it just me? Is this an advantageous design in some way? To me it looks uncomfortable. If need be I'll have Mr. Recupero fix my LCC too!

My Commander has nice angled corners and feels great in the hand.
Has anyone else had these same complaints?

Frank Recupero does great work. Did you try getting in touch with Elishewitz and discussing it with him? In my experience, he's a real nice guy and offers good service to back up his work. That's what's special about owning a hand made knife.

GEEZ!...Ya don't need to send your knives
off to have the sharp edges smoothed-out!.

Just buy yourself a Dremel Moto-Tool, and a grinding/sanding kit.

(Just ask John, aka "The Blade Broker", how he likes the "smooth-job" I did to the Stainless Native II that he just "traded"
from me.

...John, did you NOTICE that the usual sharp handle was "just a little" smoother than "normal"?.

My REKAT Pioneer II was the same way. Some sandpaper and elbow grease made all the difference in the world. While I was at it, the liners and Rolling Lock received the polish treatment. Much smooooother, thank you very much.

I know Allen and Valerie are really great to deal with, but I have been wanting to see some of Mr Recupero's work up close.

I've got a Dremel and stuff. I might have given it a shot if it was polymer or G-10 (I've done some smoothing on my Glock 23)
But I wasn't about to start grinding on jig-bone or Mokume. I'm not "that" crazy (yet)
