Sharp Kalinga in the wrong place

Yes mines a 2018. Had it awhile now and every time i take it out I end up rubbing that sharp area and I cant believe its supposed to be like that?

I don’t have this knife, but my spitfire had some sharp edges that I gently sanded down with fine paper.

Hi David,

Some years ago I bought a new Colt Delta Elite 10mm, the bottom edge of the slide was so sharp it cut my fingers a few times. As afishhunter said I took a fine whetstone and and a few passes and the sharp edge was gone no more cuts!

I’ve had knives that the bolsters and corners were sharp. I’ve always rounded them off and smoothed them up. Usually a file or stone and very fine emery does the job.

Thanks everyone for your ideas. I will certainly dull the edge. The main thing is no one said leave it ad altering it would hurt its value. So i will tackle it as soon as i get some time.
On a side note i have the same problem with my 112 Auto. On the clip part of the blade it’s almost as sharp as the blade itself. I have two other newer 112s that i can compare to so i know its not right.

Personally I'd like to have one with a sharpened clip. It would set it a part and better for penetration.

I have a 110 that the sides of the blade well are sharp enough to cut you. I haven’t filed it yet but I keep meaning to.

When I bought my first 110 I mentioned to my Dad I liked his better than mine. Mine was too blocky and the corners were sharp. He handed me a file. Hard to believe it was almost 40 years ago.

No not noticeable when gripping it. I noticed it first trying to clean inside with a paper towel. Just mentioned it because it is the only one I have that is sharp there.

I’ve had knives with sharp corners on the spine. They got filed. If I had a knife with a sharp guard I’d file it for sure.
