Anybody watch this tonight? Spectacular! Trick shooters of the past and present. To watch Jerry Miculek, (don't know if I spelled that right) shoot 6 rounds from a revolver faster than I can shoot 2 from an auto was amazing. The demonstration where he shoots 15 rounds from a .45 auto at 5 targets was awesome!

I want more!

I was lucky in that my father took me to see Herb Parsons when I was around 10 yrs. old. There's a vhs tape available called "Fast and Fancy Shooters" that includes many of the shooters shown in the tv presentation plus others as well. Well worth the money!

Jerry Miculek is a kung fu genius. I wished they'd shown him doing his super fast reloads, that's what's amazing about him. He can reload that Smith 625 faster than just about anybody reloads an automatic. My dad has a 625. It's nowhere near as easy as it looks.

Rob Leatham is no slouch either. I'm really surprised he wasn't on that show. (I recorded it on the ol' DVR so I can watch it over and over) Leatham makes a 1911 sound like a minigun, and he consistently gets tighter groups than I can shooting slowly and deliberately.

Has anybody else ready that book "Fast and Fancy Revolver Shooting"? It actually helped my shooting a lot. Has a some very good drills to teach trigger control.

Heck yeah! http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0BTT/is_170_28/ai_n6040335 is a good long article about him.

I need to look up that Leatham guy, sounds awesome.

I think I saw the same show, it's incredible. Check the youtube link maximusotter posted, and do a google video search, too. Tom Knapp is another guy from the show, he's just insane with a .22 and shotgun -- shooting hand-thrown ASPIRINS with a semi-auto .22! Patrick Flanigan is a young guy from WI  who's sponsored by Winchester; he's nipping at Knapp's heels for shotgun records. There's lots of vids on his site: http://www.patrickflanigan.com/video.cfm

Back in my competiton shooting days, there was a girl on the olympic team who shot on my state team and she was so good that she trained long distance running to lower her resting heartbeats per minute, then would shoot during the rest period of he heartbeat to minimize barrel movement caused by her beating heart. That is beyond insane to me!
