I was just wondering if anyone used a regular whetstone such as an Arkansas stone to finish after using a diamond stone to get the edge and them the regular stone to smooth the edge and polish

Yip, shouldn't be a problem,

Shouldn't have an issue. Just spend enough time on the diamond removing material. Let the stone do the work. If you jump to quickly you'll be there a while. :)

Thanks I have used a 750 grit diamond. It has a good toothy edge and cuts pretty well. I just like a nice razor sharp edge. This is the first knife I have used with 154cm. It holds an edge well and didn't take long at to touch up the edge
I just wanted it to have a little sharper edge on it. I love the steel and it's capability. My first benchmade as well
