Sharpen Griptilian 551-1?

Just bought a Griptilian 551-1 and I'm really impressed.

My experience sharpening knives has been limited mostly to my EDC, SOG Trident. It's my understanding the Griptilian 551-1, CPM-20CV straight blade, is considered premium with much different sharpening considerations. If somebody could answer questions, it would be greatly appreciated. Regarding the Griptilian 551-1:

1) What is the factory (or recommended) edge angle?
2) I normally use Arkansas stones or Lansky Folding Tapered Diamond Sharpening Rod. Can the Arkansas stones be used?
3) I have a "30" leather stroup. Can that be used to touch up this knife? If not "30", can any leather stroup be used to sharpen this knife?

Thank you

Don't worry too much about factory angle, they vary from knife to knife. 15 deg. on the back bevel and 20 deg on the micro is a starting point. Don't be afraid to experiment with lower angles. Don't forget the Sharpie marker trick.

Great news! Thank you very much. I'll assume I can use the same "system" for the Griptilian 551, 154CM stainless steel unless told otherwise. Thanks again.
