Hi Folks
I have a knife that I am not too sure what kind of knife it is and also how to sharpen it.
It seems to be somewhat smooth on one side and the other side has these 1/16th inch little marks that run the entire length of the blade.
The smooth side seem to have the little marks show on the smooth side from the side with the tiny marks. This is the way the knife is from the factory. It is a kitchen knife made in Brasil with the name of Tramontina.
If anyone can help out, it sure would be great.
Thanks
Regards
Tar :)

Sounds like fine pitch serrations. Usually these are sharpened by most guys by only sharpening the "flat" side opposite the side with the serrations ground in. To do it properly like the factory you'd need some very expensive serrated grinding wheels - and using them would be very difficult without a proper industrial knife grinding machine.
