sharpen tops bob fieldcraft

I just received a new tops field craft knife from my Uncle who taught me most of of what I know about the outdoors and bushcrafting. my question is how would I go about sharpening it? it said its a modified scandi grind, I am assuming its a convex grind because well that's what out like like but I am not sure, so how should I go about sharpening and maintaining this knife? any help is appreciated thanks in advance
 
Pics of the edge would help us give proper advise. If it is sharp now and is a convexed edge, You could use a strop to keep the edge maintained.For More intensive sharping use a mouse pad and fine sandpaper. Only if it is convexed.Nice knife, enjoy.Look here and here
 
thanks for the help guys so far i have just been using a magazine stop and a leather strop to keep up the sharpness on it and it works relatively well gladius could you further explain what you mean by circular strokes?
