The look, not the blade.
I was bored last night so I tried to wrap my REKAT Fang with the supplied paracord. It wasn't to long, but this is what I came up with....

Doesn't look to bad, and feels comfy in the hand. I read in another thread that someone had added a thin Micarta handle to theirs. I'd love to see it.

That looks good! I wish REKAT still made the ATS-34 fang, or any fang for that matter. A real shame that they are discontinued.

NICE......
That is a nice looking knife, it looks alot better I think with the paracord around it, kinda gives it that cool look

Looks great!!
Will try to figure out how you did that.
I tried a few variations about a year ago and gave up.

What? Another knife? Don't you have enough of those things already?
How many does one person need?
And just what are you going to do with this one that you can't do with the others?
What is the purpose of all these knives anyhow??

How did you do that? I have tried myself without much success.

Looks good!

Since a couple have asked "how you did that"?? I'd also like to ask if anyone has a diagram or a www.com link that shows how to tie a "pigtail" from para-cord/bootlace for a pocket folder??

Okay, heres's how I did it. To the best of my recollection.....
I ran the cord through the first hole (closest to the blade), so that the knife was in the middle. I was going to start wapping the two ends in opposite directions, but ended up wrapping the same way, from the backside, through the hole and around the handle back through the hole. There are 5 wraps each side in the 2nd & 3rd holes, the 4th hole has 5 wraps on the bottom and 6 on top so the ends meet in opposite directions in the last hole. I then tightened up the wraps, tied the ends in a square knot inside the last hole (the hardest part), then tihtened the knot, cut off the ends & melted
them with a lighter. Whew! It took longer to write than it did to do.

BTW: Heres a pic for tying a lanyard, I got this from the Microtech Forum. (I think) Lanyard

Hey thanks Kingknives,
I have been trying to purchase lanyard's for some of my folders for quite sometime now and I could'nt find any one that carried them. I bought some paracord recently but had no idea how to proceed. Man this forum is great stuff!
Thanks, Phrede
