Used sharpmaker, only medium rods for few light svipes and stropped it on my palm few times.Couldnt believe the edge I got, shaved effortlessly and didn't whittle single hair,it was cut by the touch of it.Spydercos vg10 really takes scary edge, and along with cold steel aus8 is my favorite steel.

I just got a sharpmaker a month ago and love it. I usually use king water stones but I just don't have the time anymore (especially with 3 kids running around). I can run a knife through the sharpmaker in the time it takes to soak my stones.

My VG-10 Endura is the only knife I sharpened that cut me.

I usually wipe oil on my blades after sharpening with a wad of paper towels.

The VG-10 was so sharp it cut through the towels and into my finger. I didn't feel the cut until the oil got in it.

VG-10 is a good knife steel.

I have the same results, a little sharpening and stropping and my Delica gets incredibly sharp.

The Delica/Endura paired with the sharpmaker is a absolutely awesome and inexpensive combo. The delica is the only knife in my 2 knife setup that never changes and probably never will. I love how easily is takes a razor edge and holds it quite well.

I had the exact same experience with my new sb delica today. It won't whittle hanging hairs...they instantly pop in half on contact. Ridiculous! I don't own any vg10 but I've heard it will take a very fine edge with not much effort.
