I was trying to recall the name of a company that makes a guided clamp style sharpening system. Has a three letter name with K or M in it??? Regardless, the 'system' is partially made with wood, and features a youtube type video with it. Does anyone happen to remember the name? Many thanks -

This one is called the "Deluxe aligner kit." There are several clamp style kits. Edge Pro and Smiths come to mind.

kme knife sharpener is what you are looking for... believe the wood base is an 'option'

Seem like nice folks and respond quickly to email questions (did mine). I don't own one (yet)... I did the paper wheel thing and I like it a lot.

I have a KME. It is similar in operation to the Lansky and GATCO.

Personally I prefer the GATCO.

The stone holder on the KME is a nice idea but the selection ofstones that will fit are limited.

The spherical bearing is an answer to a problem that doesn't exist.

The angle options are limited.

It works just as well as my GATCO as long as you accept the angle limitations.
