A friend of mine showed me his schrade honesteel with the case. I've never seen one before he showed it to me. I've since found a couple new ones for sale. He said it works well and he uses it on his work/butcher knives. Anyone use these? Thoughts?

He also has a thin light bulb that is about 4-5 inches long that he said is from a street light that he uses as a sharpener. The bulb feels like it's ceramic and not a glass which would make sense. Anyone use these old street light bulbs to sharpen knives?

Thanks!

these were sold back in 80s & mayge early 90s. were workable for touchups in the woods however the light multidiamond hones have just about replaced these due to weight & effectiveness.the sheath acted as a cover & when steel pivoted out the leather was a handle to hold steel as you polished the edge.

Buck made one of these back in the 70's, the model 137 . It came with a metal handle w/ locking lever and leather sheath . They work well . DM
