After receiving my BK2, it occurs to me that this beast will *not* fit into my Lansky sharpener. :-) What are the generally-used means of sharpening these monsters?

Lots of sharpening threads with different methods floating around if you search for them. Most of 'em work too. I'll bet you can find one that suits your fancy. I convexed mine, but a good old fashioned Norton red/black stone works pretty good.

It will fit. Trust me.

Let out on your flat head screw, almost to the end, don't worry, it won't strip the threads. You should have a couple of threads left to go, then its about right. If you look in your kit, there should be another, longer flathead screw, and a thumbscrew. Those are there for the thicker knives.

For sure it fits. Thats what I've been using on mine to get the bevel. I also make sure to reposition the lansky at least once, otherwise you'll get uneven angles.

Also, I finish up with wet/dry 2000 grit sandpaper by hand, and then strop. Keeps it nice and sharp :).

I hope these help, It will fit.
