...specifically, the satin battle rat I gushed over in another post-I feel these should be consolidated but do not know how-anyway, I was thinking about the edge and learned it was a zero convex edge-can I maintain the edge with a sandpaper method? I've already used the heck out of this thing and although it still shaves, it pulls a bit. Thanks.cwd

Sandpaper in various grits and a leather strop are the way to go. Chop on!!!

Thanks. In response to the "chop on," part of the appeal (for me) with this knife is that despite its size it is so well-balanced and has such great geometry I slice with it-in the kitchen, wherever.

Anybody got any advice for angle of contact with the sharpening medium?

The Battle Rat I just got had passed through Horn Dog's 3rd world grind shop...it's a freaking light saber now!!!! :)

"Paint" the edge with a black magic marker. As you strop it, check the edge, and you can see where you have made contact. Adjust accordingly.

Thanks for the hints-I just got alarmed that I had to do some kind of vodoo for the zero edge.cwd
