from Jeff Tate and it's a very cool little knife. It's essentially a straight-edge scandi grind.

It's about due for it's first sharpening, and it looks like it should be a no brainer - push blade back and forth on stone, flip over, repeat.

Is that really all there is to it, or am I missing something?

Yeah, that's pretty much it.

Once you get what feels like a sharp edge, get a piece of corrugated cardboard, and strop the edge lightly across it, at a little steeper angle than the blade bevels.

This should break up the burr that you worked up on the stone.

You should be able to push cut paper with just a touch.

Pretty knife!

Should be relatively easy to sharpen with those huge bevels, you dont have to judge the angles, just make sure they are flat to the stone.
