Some of you may remember this,

This did a pretty good number to my edge. Had i not bought a 2nd TGLB for back-up I likely never would have beat this one so hard. Needless to say even Busse can take some serious edge damage and be in serious need of sharpening/regrinding/reprofiling.
So I went in search of something better than free handing a DMT stone/s, which led me to this,
As you can see there is some edge issues and that is the good side of the blade, after a few sittings of the KME, including buying an additional stone ( the 50 grit Beast)
the edge was reasonably good to go but still had a problem spot that would take many hours of grinding away to fix, you can see it here after the KME sessions I already had with the TGLB,
I just could not get that spot to go away. Now still in search of a way to get rid of this eyesore, I bought this product.
I spent approximately 5 minutes opening the box, quickly skimming the instructions, changing belts, testing a dummy knife, then running the TGLB through the three belt stages...5 minutes!!!!!
Not quite a complete mirror polish, but DAMN!!!!! The cheap regular edition of the Work Sharp absolutely blew me away.............
The KME does an excellent job of getting scary sharp Flat V grind edges in any degree from 17-30??? Not 100% sure but something like that, but I think the Convex edge the Work Sharp puts on helped to eliminate the big ugly spot I couldn't get out with the KME.....
Now I believe I am set to resharpen/regrind/reprofile anything damage I can throw at my knives...The old Smith's Tri-Hone I have is sitting uselessly on my bench since I discovered DMT, KME, and the Work Sharp.....
Thanks for looking.
