Sharpening a Scrade xtac

I have a schrade xtac. Its the hardest knife to sharpen that I have ever owned. Ive have lots of other Schades and sharpening is no problem.The blade says Schrade + USA.I use a diamond stone , ceramic rods and a steel. Anybody know why this knife is so dang hard? When I do finally get it sharp it quickly dulls up.

i don't know the answer, but i recently acquired an Xtac (great fit in the hand) so i hope someone with a similar experience chimes in. roland
