Is this knife really convex ground? I just ordered one:D

Can I use my bark river sharpening kit (leather strop with compunds) to sharpen it?

you should be able to maintain the edge with it. if you damage the edge you will need to use an abrasive to bring the edge back.

It is easy. Just start at the spine and sand it down to the final edge on a slack belt, using finer and finer grit. Then you will have a full convex zero edge.

Just kidding. While the gind is convex on the Skinny, the final edge is a bevel grind. You can sharpen it with a crock stick or a flat stone. Or you can just convex it with sandpaper and a pad or with a leather hone and compound. Or you can blend it with the convex primary grind using a belt sander, and then just strop it to keep it sharp.
