Sharpening an Esee Rat knife

Since this knife has a flat grind blade; I figure it would be best to ask what is the best way to sharpen the RC3, RC4, & the RC5. I usually use my Spyderco Sharpmaker on most of my other knives. I also have a Fallkniven combination sharpening stone, a stropping bat & a diamond stone.
Thanks for any help. I read that the Lansky knife systems would flex too much so I thought this would oliminate the Gatco knife kit also.

The DMT work great or Norton Stones but if you have a Fallkniven DC3 or 4 you should be good to go !

There's no special way to sharpen an ESEE blade...I personally use a DC4 stone and a strop. Mostly just a strop though.

I'd just try out a few methods and see what works for you.

I use a diamond stone, then a ceramic stick, then strop to finish.

Really? I've been sharpening my izula on it and can't get it anywhere near the factory edge it came with. I was thinking of getting a DC4.

Did you mark the edge to make sure it's hitting?
