I have not come to the point where I have to sharpen my Izula yet...of course...;) But I was just wondering what angle would be best to sharpen it on with a spyderco sharpmaker (40 or 30), or if I should even sharpen it on the sharpmaker at all...one problem is that I cant freehand very well, I guess I should practice up on that...

Right now Im just using it as an EDC and for utility purposes I still have yet to take it into the woods and really test it out

Utility I would stick to 40, :D if you ever decide to turn it into a kitchen knife then 30 would probably be a little better.

sounds good thanks...I am a wildlife major and I intend on using this knife fairly hard so I think a utility edge would probably be best, one thing is for sure, this being my first rat, I definitely want to buy more haha probably another azula, an RC-4 and something big....

I do mine on the Sharpmaker at 40 and it works brilliantly. Same with my RC-3.
