Any ideas/opinions would be much appreciated.
Just purchased/received a TOPS 'Back Bite'.
After viewing the two videos by 'Collin Despins' (the knifes designer) showing the use and techniques this was
designed to utilize I decided to get one (Russian System of striking, trapping, "forward" and "back" attack and defense).
Great little knife, light and nimble with a very well made, good looking and very ergonomic Black Linen Micarta handle.
Unfortunately as I received it, I find both chisel edges rather dull.
I can send it off to someone to easily sharpen the straight edge...... but the smaller concave/curved bevel edge, I personally
would like to have not only sharpened, but have the length of the beveled edge extended out a bit more from point A to point B as noted in the photos.
Do you think that could be easily done?
TOPS 'Back Bite' would like to extend the edge from A to B:
And re: a BM 710 Mchenry Williams ATS34 I just purchased.
I read several owners experiences of the lack of ease accessing the thumbstud/s due to no cutout in the G10.
I did a search and found on a Russian forum, two photos of a modification that someone did to the scales using 400, 600 and 1500 sandpaper to look like this:
(which I'm thinking of doing if it would yield smoother accessing of the studs)
