How do you sharpen a condor tool and knife bushcraft basic?(is it like a scandi where you would lay it on the bevel or use my 40 degree setting on the sharpmaker)
How is CRKT's 9cr13mov(Dragon) vs Spyderco 8cr13mov(Tenacious)?
anyone have the condor tool and knife tapanga? is the tapanga to thin being 3/32?
What do you do for leather sheath care?
THX in advance

I don't have a bush basic but I do have a bushlore and if your " Scandi" grind is anything like mine it will be uneven and convexed. I had to file the shoulders down a bit but try to maintain it by stroping. I used a stone to sharpen and it was very difficult, the steel is as hard as glass. I am not great at sharpening but I think the condor knives sharpening method depends on the exact knife you get.

You could just convex sharpen it with sandpaper; there are threads in the knife maintenance forum on how to do that. As for 8Cr13MoV vs 9Cr13MoV, 9 just has a little but more carbon, which improves the edge retention. 8Cr13MoV is a lot like AUS-8, and 9Cr13MoV is a lot like 440C. But the heat treat is also important. Spyderco does a really good heat treat (not sure about CRKT), so the difference between those two in edge retention will probably be very slight.
