Sharpening Angle for Wetterlings Wildlife Axe

What is the best sharpening angle for an axe / hatchet? I have a Wetterlings Wildlife axe that I need to put the intial edge on. Are there ideal angles depending on the axes purpose? I have tried a search but the search system does not appear ro be working.

My Fiskers came with a 30° total edge, but my heavy use small hand ax is at 40°. I could see going even higher depending on your needs...
