Sharpening angle of a Dustar Arad 1 Israeli combat knife? D2 steel.

Several years ago i did only one of these for a collector (which often have different requirements compared to users)
Well hardened steel, but also a very bad factory "edge":

Thanks for the info. Since posting this question, I have found a source the suggest using a 20 to 22 angle. Will try it. I really like my Arad but you are correct about the edge coming from the factory marginal at best. The sheath also is marginal and I quickly replaced it with a Spec Ops brand. Support steel addiction!
