Sharpening Angles

What angle would I sharpen my Benchmade 553. I dont want to really screw up the angle, so if I have to, i'll send it to back to benchmade. I believe the angle to be somewhere <20. Thanks in advance.
 
Sharpen to 15 or 17 degrees for the back bevel, then when it needs touching up do 20 degrees for the primary bevel. Benchmade's factory angles are generally pretty obtuse and you probably won't be able to match it without some way to measure the angle. On the plus side, when you're done sharpening it'll be a much better edge than it was from the factory.
 
What are you using to sharpen with?
How do you know it's <20 DPS?
