Sharpening angst

Well, I have been using my Speedtech Synergy heavily and had stropped it many times, but it was definitely getting dull. This one has one of those hand ground Alan Elishewitz blades. So, last night I took it to my faithful TORMEK grinder and put a new edge on it. And in the process decreased the angle on the cutting edge from (apparently) about 25 degrees as received to 20 degrees, more or less. I polished it up and it is visibly different (and REALLY sharp) now.

Well, I have never felt at all bad about "changing" and edge by sharpening it (and don't now)... but Alan (the great) formed this one... and here I am on my grinder changing it? Well, I wouldn't improve on the Cistine chapel ceiling... but if Michaelangelo had painted my fence, I guess I'd have to touch it up now and then.

Man, this knife threatens to displace the Sebenza as my favorite carry.

FRACMEISTER, thanks for the tip I will try this with my SpeedTech Synergy.
Still the best folder I could have purchased.

Speedtech has a website, but my knife isn't up yet. I think you can find it in the links section of bladeforums.
