Hi Guys,

I've recently picked up some Beckers and I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for sharpening the blade. Do you use stones, rods ... ?

Are there any products that you would recommend?

Thanks for your help.

I use a stones or my belt sander. Some guys use a sharpmaker or a lansky system for error proof sharpening. are you comfortable with free hand? If not a good system is the way to go, but I don't have any problems sharpening my bkts with a stone and strop, and only added the belt sander to the mix for those times I wanna do it fast or so dull a stone would take forever

stones are fine, but you are probably better off with diamonds. Also, which beckers did you get? I still have factory edge on my BK9, really awesome, but I had to reprofile my BK11. I did it with stones but probably diamonds would have been faster, these knives are tough.

I went a little crazy. I got the 2, 7, 12, and a 10 is on the way too.

very good way to start the addiction

I would convex the 2 so you can sharpen with a strop

for the 7, 10, and 12 I would use a DMT stone or a diafold with fine/extra fine to keep the edge
