The last 10th of an inch on my benchmade ATS34 is blunted from a fall, about 3ft, from when I dropped it this weekend. (Doh!:o)
Am I going to have to remove all the steel that I think I am to get it back? I also chiped the blade, but I figure that will slowly become a serration, then nothing in time.

Suggestions?
I would really like a new knife, but this one grew on me, and I am broke till I finish payments on other toys.

I know for a fact that the Spyderco 204 isn't that good at fixing/working at the tip, so you should stick with the benchstones to try and grind the knife back so that you'll get the point. you're likely also to thicken the back of the edge, so cutting performance may be affected.
I've attempted to fix my CRKT C/K 3" after I've dropped it. I manage to get the blunted tip slightly smaller, but then I didn't put much of an effort.
Good luck.
You might try and ask to see if the warranty guys would help you on that one.

If you don't mind altering the blade's shape, you could cut down the material at the top of the blade to make it meet the point. Depending on how blunt the tip became, this may or may not be very noticeable.

I usually have to do this after slipping a few times on the Sharpmaker's corners.
