you must really be having trouble with these things, shapening, tempering, wew. i'd try searching on the net for an end mill sharpener, or call the supplier, and ask.

L6,

You need a cutter grinding machine, the proper fixtures and diamond or green wheels to sharpen carbide end mills. My father used to have a business sharpenning cutters for local machine shops. I spent a lot of hours behind a cutter grinder. You might check with some of your local machine shops to see if there is a cutter grinding service in your area. Some of the larger machine shops have their own sharpenning equipment and may be willing to sharpen yours. Cost for resharpenning is minimal compared to the price of a new cutter.

L6,
We have several tool and cutter grinders at work. They are only used to make custom tooling. All of the normal endmill and drill sharpening is done by a local vendor. They do carbide and HSS/Co. There must be a local company that will do this for a reasonable price. If you cant find one let me know and I will get the address of the company we use.

Thanks Niel!!!!!! I don't have anything near those kind of funds, Tom. I'll find someplace to get it done.
